This mixed media piece preserves my childhood. As childhood and adolescence began to recede, I gathered old toys, drawings, and photos to hold those memories together. Inspired by Van Gogh’s Starry Night, I created a flowing sky where the dolls drift like constellations. I also experimented with a sealing technique where I encased the work in a plastic layer to suggest memories being protected and concealed.
