The message behind this painting is the cycle of nature. The red spider lily grows near the water; once it blooms, its energy flourishes. When it dies, that energy returns to the river, the ground, and the trees. I used golden lines to symbolize the flow of energy and the cycle of rebirth. This piece is experimental compared with my usual landscapes, incorporating
