This painting was commissioned as a commemorative anniversary gift. It reinterprets a decorative glass installation embedded with birds and trees. In my interpretation, the trees represent a learning community and the birds represent its students: growing into strong individuals and then taking flight confidently into society. The work was unveiled publicly at the anniversary event.
