Tree roots made from yarn show people on land reaching deep into the ocean and extracting resources until the consequences kill marine life. I created the piece as both a memorial and a call to action for coral reefs lost worldwide. The process drawings and glass coral study helped me understand the structure and growth patterns of coral.
