“Ink conveys the discoloration of dead coral reefs around the world.”Ink conveys the discoloration of dead coral reefs around the world. Tree roots made from yarn show people on land reaching deep into the ocean and extracting resources until the consequences kill marine life. I created the piece as both a memorial and a call to action for coral reefs lost worldwide. The process drawings and glass coral study helped me understand the structure and growth patterns of coral.
